R+D tax credits are nonsense. You can subscribe to magazines, call it research and get a tax credit. Direct funding to research works better.

Emissions trading scheme not gone, just undergoing an actual debate rather than a hamfisted ruch job.

A billion dollars every year - You're talking rubbish.

Options for only healthy food in tuckshops. So what, the biggest factor in childrens obesity is the parents.

Biofuel percentage in Petrol - even the PArliamentary commissioner for the environment thought that this was a bad thing.

Research into equal pay for social workers - what was this research expected to achieve?

Parts of the RMA - the RMA is the biggest single thing holding back investment into renewable energy and the main piece of legislation for keeping people out of jobs.

Jobs in the MSD - the CEO of the MSD did this and the work started before the election.

Jobs in the Ministry oof Ag and Fish - there's no such thing as the Ministry of Ag and Fish. There's a Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF) and there's a Ministry of Fisheries (MFish). I spent 4 years working at our international airports and know for certain that MAF had plenty of fat that could safly be got rid of.

NZ Post jobs - NZ Post is an SOE that operates independently. And ever since a little thing called the internet got invented people have been sending less letters requiring less posties.

Regional Fuel Tax - More efficient funding mechanisms exist, and I thought that you wanted people to have jobs.

Mission On - what on earth did they ever achieve aside from an overpriced underquality website.

$37 million helth promotion - it was bullshit anyway. Whenever Labour was confronted with an issue that it didn't know how to solve it just went out and spent money on ads so that they would look like they were doing something.

ACC physio funding - Labour left a billion dollar plus size hole in ACC so of course some stuff had to get cut. And it didn't disappear, it just got shrunk.

$4.8 million get checked diabetes programme - the Ministry of Health were happy to cut that as it wasn't achieving anything.

As much as I dislike National, the loss of 1000 jobs a week isn't something that National has imposed on the country, it's called a global recession. It wouldn't be any different if Labour was in power.

Responding to the above comments. How easy it is to side with the convienient excuse- a global recession, and the knee jerk reaction. Rather than creating constructive policies to ensure that people, the environment and the economy can with stand the short falls of a capitalist market system in free fall.
